In this week of Mother’s Day, we thought we’d introduce you to a few services that may be of use to mothers and mothers-to-be. During pregnancy, certain musculoskeletal problems such as sciatica (pain in the path of the sciatic nerve), lumbago (pain in the lumbar region) or ankle sprains (the secretion of certain hormones makes the ligament system more lax, which predisposes to sprains) can cause discomfort to the mother-to-be. She can consult a physiotherapist or osteopath in complete confidence, as these professionals will be able to help her pursue a harmonious pregnancy.
Another physiotherapy service we offer is perineal rehabilitation. This approach addresses, among other things, problems related to pelvic floor weakness that can lead to urine leakage. Many women experience this type of problem after giving birth.
For Physio Multiservices, Mother’s Day is also synonymous with running. The Au Rythme de Nos Foulées event, organized by the Les Riverains running club, takes place on Mother’s Day Sunday in the streets of Châteauguay. Our involvement with the Au Rythme De Nos Foulées event began with the registration of several of our employees and their family members for the event of their choice a few years ago. Since last year, we’ve also been involved as a sponsor of the event, and are on hand to offer pre- and post-event professional services to participants. We’d be delighted to meet you there as a participant, to offer you the service you need and answer any questions you may have.
So on Sunday, May 8, Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers and mothers-to-be, and happy running to all participants!
